RBI – is the nation’s first CSR-360 enabler engaged in enabling and integrating, innovation, strategies, SH engagement, environment & ethical risk assessment & mitigation, sustainability reporting, responsible entrepreneurship, responsible business practices and responsible supply and value chains since 1998.

It is a Public benefit organization and the first CSR-dedicated organization in Pakistan. We are the only neutral multi-stakeholder CSR forum of its kind which flagships business ethical principles.

RBI focuses on Pakistan-specific issues. However, RBI understands that its aims cannot be achieved in isolation from global trends and demands. As such RBI will continue to invite extensive involvement of the international community.

Our team has developed tools and protocols for measuring and optimizing the Triple Bottom-line for the country’s business sector, which includes convening the country’s national business standards round-table since 2004. We have the satisfaction of having part of most National and Global CSR-related initiatives with Civil Society, Academia, Business, Investors and the UN, and have tried to keep aware of new developments by being part of events and knowledge generation in a number of countries.

As founder member of the South Asia Forum for Responsible Business (SAFoRB) and Globally Responsible Leaders Initiative (GRLI) RBI leads in building effective synergies between society and business. We have helped shape numerous CSR awareness, policy, and research interventions with government, corporations, ethical investors, SMEs and academia within and outside Asia Pacific region.

AT RBI

• We are a facilitator for cross sectoral stakeholder participation in local businesses. We provide technical support to corporate sector towards the generation of responsible profits leading to sustainable development.
• We join hands with national corporations & local industry to participate in the global phenomenon of corporate citizenship.
• We bring together Government, international agencies, citizen organizations, academia, trade bodies, media and key opinion leaders to develop useful inter-linkages, thus facilitating CSR implementation.
•  We offer training and capacity building to private sector organizations to deal with stakeholder issues through open participatory ways.
• We promote CSR through various activities involving research and capacity building, policy and framework development, standards and tool development, stakeholder dialogue facilitation, representing Pakistan in international conference panels and creating national and international linkages.
• We play a key role in development of a national CSR strategy, an initiative of Securities and Exchange Commission Pakistan. Main focus is to bring CSR awareness among business stakeholders enabling organizations to have sustainable development by utilizing the Global market opportunities.
